Thyroid And Iodine Levels.

Iodine is needed for our bodies thyroid hormone production, it does not occur naturally in our body so we need to obtain iodine through our diet. The Thyroid
hormone regulates your metabolism, it uses iodine in the thyroid gland to make T3 and T4 hormones which are essential for a thyroid and metabolism to function properly. By not getting the right levels of iodine in your diet you can experience Iodine Deficiency which can cause hypothyroidism, goiter and even brain problems.

How Can I correct Iodine Deficiency?

By Increasing the amount of iodine in your diet you can boost iodine levels. Where generalized deficiencies exist you can also use iodine tablets or drops.

Iodine is occurs naturally in soil and seawater, foods which contain iodine include:
bread, ice cream, yoghurt (fresh and frozen), cheese, cow's milk, eggs, seafood and saltwater fish, seaweed, soy milk and sauce. Iodine is also added to table salt in
many countries.

Taking Nascent Iodine To Correct Thyroid Iodine Levels.

Nascent Iodine is different to other iodines because it occurs in an atomic form. This means once digested the Iodine can be recognized by the body as the same type of iodine that the thyroid produces which means it can be absorbed in the same way as natural iodine by the body.

To support the bodies iodine levels take up to 6 drops a day, 30 minutes before a meal or 1 hour after a meal of supplement. It is best to take this supplement in the
morning as taking after 4pm can leave you awake at night. You will find levels will build up and you can reduce the amount of drops.
