Demazin hayfever syrup treats the symptoms of hayfever and allergies including Runny Nose, Itchy Red Eyes, Sneezing, Blocked nose and sinus.

The main Ingredients are Chlorpheniramine maleate and phenylephrine hydrochloride, these active ingredients can be found in a number of other allergy and hayfever products including A.R.M. How does it work?

It is an antihistamine which works by blocking the chemical in the body that is released when an allergic reaction occurs. This chemical called histamine causes the symptoms of allergic reaction in the body so taking antihistamine you can reduce the symptoms of allergies on the body.

Main Ingredients?
Chlorpheniramine maleate 1.25mg/5ml and Phenylephrine hydrochloride 2.5mg/5ml

Dosage.

Children 2–4 years: 4–6 ml every 6–8 hours
Children 4–6 years: 6–8 every 6–8 hours
Children 6–12 years: 8–15 ml every 6–8 hours
Adults & children over 12 years: 15 ml every 6 hours

It comes with a measuring spoon so that you can get the right dosage.

Are there any side effects?

As with every medicine there may be side effects, these are usual mild to moderate and nature and go away. If you experience any side effects which persist or become more intense in nature be sure to contact your doctor or pharmacist. Side effects may include:
  • Drowsiness - if you feel this side effect do not drive or  heavy machinery.

  • Hypertension
  • Sedation
  • weakness
  • tachycardia
  • insomnia
  • palpitations
  • mydraiasis

Cautions or Warnings?

Do not use if:
You are sensitive to chlorpheniramine, phenylephrine or similar medications.
You are on anti depressants
Do not drink while taking this medication
In children under 2
