Optifast Chicken Soup 8 x 46g Sachets

This delicious chicken soup makes up one Optifast meal. A great hot meal that is nutritionally balanced and high in fibre to keep you satisfied. There are eight sachets in every pack and its low GI. You can turn this into Chicken and Vegetable soup by adding fresh vegetables to the mix as part of the Optifast Diet Program. Each pack contains 8 x 46g sachets.

"How Do I Make Optifast Mixed Vegetable Soup?"

Simply Dissolve one sachet in 200ml of water and stir until dissolved. If you want more soup or a subtler flavour simply dilute with more hot water. You can also make this in the microwave with cold water on high for one minute or make it on a stove top stirring while cooking. You can also add your 2 cups of allowed vegetables to your soup to make a delicious and healthy chicken and vegetable soup.

"How Does The Optifast VCLD Diet Work?"

The optifast diet works by reducing your calorie rate below 800 calories a day - this means your body has to draw on your own fat stores instead of getting calories from food. There are four phases in the Optifast program - your health professional can advice you which one is best for your body. When you first start you replace all meals with Optifast products so that calorie intake can be clearly monitored, as you start to lose weight you then re-introduce normal meals.

"Isn't That going To Be Expensive?"

Because you are only eating Optifast products in the early stages you are not spending extra money on snacks and eating out so some people actually save money on their normal grocery bill.

"What Are The Different Phases for Optifast?"

  • Phase One: Intensive Phase: Replace all of your meals with Optifast products. Eat with two cups of low starch green vegetables and two litres of water a day.
  • Phase Two: Transition Phase: Introduce one low calorie meal back into your diet (between 300-350 Calories) eat in conjunction with two cups of low starch vegetables, two serves of fruit, one serve of dairy and two litres of water per day. (Fruit and dairy servings should contain 50-70 calories and 10-15g of carbohydrate.)
  • Phase Three: Maintenance Phase: During this phase you have just one meal using Optifast products and the rests are normal healthy low calorie options. You have it with two cups of low starch vegies, two serves of fruit, one serve of dairy, and two litres of water a day.
  • Phase Four: Stabilisation Phase: Once you have lost the desired amount of weight you should be at a stage where you no longer require Optifast and your are eating healthy meals that are low in calories. If you wish to continue losing weight it is vital to restrict calories under 1500 per day.
