Xergic Tablets a Generic Telfast (Fexofenadine Hydrochloride)

Xergic is a 24 hour relief once a day hayfever tablet that helps you deal with the symptoms of hayfever and allergies. This antihistamine tablet is a generic for of telfast and contains the main ingredient Fexofenadine Hydrochloride which is an antihistamine.

How does it work?

It is an antihistamine which works by blocking the chemical in the body that is released when an allergic reaction occurs. This chemical called histamine causes the symptoms of allergic reaction in the body so taking antihistamine you can reduce the symptoms of allergies on the body.

Adults and children over 12 years - One Tablet Once a Day ad Required.
Children 6-11 Years - 30mg tablet twice a daily as required.

Main Ingredients?

 XERGIC 30 mg, 60 mg, 120 mg and 180 mg tablets contain 30 mg, 60 mg, 120 mg and 180 mg of fexofenadine hydrochloride, respectively. XERGIC tablets also contain the inactive excipients: croscarmellose sodium, maize starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, hypromellose, povidone, titanium dioxide, macrogol 400, macrogol 4000, iron oxide yellow CI77492 and iron oxide red CI77491 (30 mg and 120 mg tablets only).

Are there any side effects?

As with every medicine there may be side effects, these are usual mild to moderate and nature and go away. If you experience any side effects which persist or become more intense in nature be sure to contact your doctor or pharmacist. Side effects may include:

  • Fatigue/Tiredness/Drowsiness
  • Headache
  • Dizziness
  • Nausea
